[VERIFIED] KNOCKDOWN: Over 100 firefighters fought the Major Emergency fire for two hours to achieve knockdown. There are no injuries reported to firefighters or civilians. The overhaul operation is anticipated to last approximately two hours. The bulk of the fire was in a bike rental business with extension into a car repair / sales business housed in the same building. Following protocol for a Major Emergency fire, LAFD Arson is on scene to conducted the cause investigation. PIO CII Cody Weireter can meet the media at 1719 S Pacific Ave. No further details.
[VERIFIED] (updated address) Incident Commander ordered the transition to a defensive operation and has additional resources enroute, raising this to a Greater Alarm status.
