[VERIFIED] With three hours and 45 minutes on the incident clock, IC is strategically reinitiating offensive mode where it is safe, in order to allow better access to any remaining fire in the structure. One additional LAFD firefighter is being treated on scene for signs of heat exhaustion.
[VERIFIED] While fire suppression efforts continue in defensive mode on this home, firefighters are also working to protect nearby exposed structures. One LAFD firefighter in fair-to-serious condition has been transported from scene with a medical issue. ***Media staging has transitioned to 345 N Delfern Dr.
[VERIFIED] Incident Command has ordered all firefighters to move off the roof and out of the interior of the home. Defensive firefighting operations will continue from the exterior of the structure due to safety concerns.
[VERIFIED] Firefighters continue to battle multiple areas of fire in the attic. Major emergency status with nearly 150 firefighters on scene. LADBS requested. LAFD PIO on scene -- media staging at Parkwood Dr x N Mapleton Dr.
[VERIFIED] At 80 minutes since the time of the 911 call, LAFD Assistant Chief Tyler Dixon has assumed Incident Command. LAFD PIOs Milo Cope and Anthony Tubbs are enroute to scene with an ETA of 3:45PM. Media staging location TBD.
[VERIFIED] Several additional resources added to assist with access, slowed due to the home's heavy construction. Approximately 100 personnel are now working on scene of this greater alarm incident. One chimney partially collapsed. No injuries -- all occupants and workers on the property accounted for and safe. LADWP, LADOT, gas company, and LAPD requested.
[VERIFIED] Large two-story single-family dwelling with light smoke initially observed on the second floor. As firefighters searched for the source of the fire, smoke increased and fire was located in the attic. Companies are coordinating fire suppression efforts in the attic and salvage operations on the second floor concurrently. No injuries reported at this time.
