[VERIFIED] Approximately 80 firefighters achieved full extinguishment of the fire in 2 hours and 34 minutes. Heavy fire was confined to one unit on the second floor. Adjacent units have sustained smoke and water damage. Two dogs, both awake and alert, were located and safely removed from the affected unit. No injuries were reported to civilians or fire department personnel. Red Cross is assisting displaced residents and those in need of assistance. LA Building and Safety are assessing structural damage and compromise. LAFD Arson is investigating the cause of the fire. Nothing further.

[VERIFIED] Firefighters continue to coordinate evacuation, roof ventilation and fire attack. LAFD PIO is en route to the incident with an ETA of 1000AM.

[VERIFIED] First arriving company reports a two story garden style apartment building with fire showing from a second floor unit. Firefighters are initiating fire attack in offensive mode.
