[VERIFIED] Broadway IC has officially declared a knockdown after a 2 hour fire fight. The heavily damaged structure is currently undergoing assessment from LADBS (Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety) to ensure viability and structural integrity. Many LAFD companies will remain on scene for a thorough overhaul once LAFD Arson completes their investigation per protocol. LAPD INC#0659. No injuries have been reported. Nothing further.
[VERIFIED] Broadway IC states the majority of active fire has been knocked down, but has not declared an official knockdown. Over 60 firefighters will continue in an extended operation and continue to fight the fire defensively with large diameter hose lines and ladder pipe operations. LAFD heavy equipment is en route to assist with extinguishment and overhaul operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries have been reported.
[VERIFIED] First arriving unit reports a two story church with fire showing on the second floor. Units are operating in the defensive mode.
