[VERIFIED] With the aid of precise LAFD helicopter water drops, 55 LAFD ground responders working in 100°F+ ambient heat, took just 61 minutes to confine and fully extinguish a fast-moving fire involving ground and dense canopy vegetation on a 30,000 square foot residential parcel, that extended to damage at least two shed-like structures and a residential building (accessory dwelling unit). One firefighter sustained a significant hand laceration during the battle. In good condition, he will be transported to an area hospital for primary care. No other firefighter or civilian injuries were reported. The cause and origin of the fire has yet to be determined.
