[VERIFIED] LAFD Firefighters took 1 hour 38 minutes to extinguish flames within the 2 occupied units of the 1 story commercial building located in the area of downtown Los Angeles known as the Fashion District. Though intense flames caused structural compromise throughout the involved commercial structures, firefighters kept the blaze confined with no extension into neighboring businesses. No injuries reported. The fire cause is under active investigation.

[VERIFIED] Firefighters continue to fight the large commercial blaze defensively, utilizing ladder-pipe operations as well as large diameter hand lines (master streams). Progress is steady in the fire units, and crews are working to keep adjoining occupancies from becoming involved.

[VERIFIED] Initial reports state dumpster in alley exposing 1 story commercial. Units arrived to find heavy smoke coming from 2 units in 1 story row of commercial occupancies. Companies began an aggressive offensive attack of the fire, with firefighters on the roof stating heavy fire coming from all cut ventilation holes. As conditions began to deteriorate, IC pulled all companies off the roof and out of the building to being fighting the blaze defensively.
