[VERIFIED] LAFD USAR teams lowered wristlets into the shaft and were able to direct the patient to place them on his wrists. Patient was then lifted and fully extricated from the shaft by rope. Paramedics are transporting the 27M in critical condition to a local trauma center with LAPD escort. LAFD PIO is no longer enroute and respectfully refers all further media enquiries to LAPD (INC#4280).

[VERIFIED] Patient is reported to be a 27yo male, in immediate condition, complaining of neck & back pain, being transported to local hospital.

[VERIFIED] An LAFD aerial ladder truck has been positioned so its ladder can serve as a high anchor point for a rope rescue. LAFD PIO David Ortiz is enroute with an ETA of 11PM.

[VERIFIED] Unofficial radio report from LAFD states that the patient was being chased by LAPD, jumped over an 8' wall and fell into a 30' tunnel.

[VERIFIED] One male patient is trapped, approximately 30 feet deep, in a four-foot wide vertical shaft on a construction site. LAFD fire and USAR companies, alongside Heavy Rescue specialists, are setting up lights and equipment in preparation for a rescue operation. Patient condition is currently unknown. LAPD (INC#4280) is also on scene and standing by.
