LAFD Incident Commander has declared forward progress stopped on this brush fire. The coordinated efforts of LAFD Air Operations and ground based firefighters contained the fire to 3/4 acre. Companies on scene are currently in the mop-up phase. No injuries are reported. No structures were affected or damaged. No further updates are anticipated.

First arriving units reports a work truck struck a one story commercial building. Firefighters are extricating the solo driver (unknown age or gender) of the truck. The driver is anticipated to be transported to a local hospital. No occupants are reported to be inside the business, (unknown name or type), which was struck. No additional injuries are reported. Cause of the collision in undetermined. LA Department of Building and Safety, DOT and LAPD are notified. LAPD INC#2181. Nothing further.

First arriving fire companies reported a 2 story garden style apartment building with smoke showing. Firefighters operated in an offensive mode and BC17 assumed Hatteras IC. Fire was confined to the first floor unit with minor extension into the unit above. A primary and secondary search was completed. One patient is confirmed and is being evaluated and treated by LAFD paramedics on scene. Fire is now out and Hatteras declared a knockdown time at 1731 hours. Approximately 31 firefighters extinguished the fire within 12 minutes of the 911 call. Cause of the fire is undetermined. Nothing further.

Fire companies arrived on scene and found one vehicle over the side into the Pacoima Wash approximately 25 feet down. The patient needed to be extricated from the vehicle and the LA Fire Department was successful with the extrication and are now preparing the patient to be hoisted into an air ship to be transferred to a local hospital. Gavina IC has additionally requested LAPD. LAPD Incident# 4387. Approximately 40 LAFD members attached to the incident.

Initial fire company found a small animal stuck in an 8" to 10" pipe, approximately 7 feet deep. Incident was upgraded to a technical rescue and the small animal rescue team was dispatched. Approximately 26 LAFD personnel were dispatched and the animal was extricated approximately 1 hour and 21 minutes after the 911 call. The Gas Company, Department of Transportation, Department of Water and Power were also notified. The situation leading up to how the animal become stuck is unknown at this time. Nothing further.
